A brand new, or part time business owner often has more time than cash to apply to the chore of bookkeeping. I understand that.
We used to offer a service aimed at those owners called "Co-pilot bookkeeping" where the owner would do most of the work in a month and we would do a review with them on a monthly or quarterly basis. This wasn't the greatest idea. Clients were under served and we were over frustrated. Its probably the same reason you don't have people calling up plumbers and saying "ok, if I do all of the easy connections can you come in and finish the joints and faucets?" or bringing a partially disassembled car to a mechanic to finish the repairs.
So, I've decided to with a different approach, give generic copilot advice away for free via "How to" videos that deal with common Xero bookkeeping challenges. That way business owners can get by on their own until the point that they decide they need to turn it over to a professional.
Before the first video, I'll also mention that Xero has a great suite of help resources at: Xero U and Xero TV
